Founders

Chokolatta is the result of two cultures fused together, you will not only find a wide variety of chocolate products, but you will also find a distinguished menu of tempting drinks. Our founders Andrea & Oscar, created the perfect blend between two cultures by bringing their passions together. Andrea’s love of local Mexican ingredients and Oscar’s pure love for Guatemalan coffee made Chokolatta go from a dream to a reality. Our founder’s loving relationship is what makes Chokolatta’s ambiance so cozy and welcoming. They want to make you feel like family.

We have created a wide variety of products (sweetened, gluten-free, vegan, sugar-free, etc.) as a way for everyone to enjoy the richness of cacao. All our products are handmade in small batches in order to ensure their freshness. Our goal is to create desserts that make you feel good, not guilty. We use all-natural ingredients and every product is made from scratch. No preservatives. We care about your health as much as we care about chocolate. Love is found in every recipe.

I am a native of Mexico City, photographer by trade and lifelong chocolate lover. When I moved to L.A. in 2010 I wanted to make my own chocolate, so, naturally, I went to YouTube. I started with chocolate covered strawberries and quickly realized how supple and spirited cacao is. That revelation spawned much research and experimentation that has resulted in Chokolatta’s amazing tastes.
